A single rental inspection attended on your behalf in Melbourne costs $89. Full relocation packages start at $1,199. That is the short answer, and the rest of this page explains what sits behind those numbers so you can work out which one you actually need.

What does a relocation agent in Melbourne actually do?

The term covers a range of services. At the corporate end it can mean visa support, school placement and removalist coordination. For most people moving to Melbourne for work or study, the real problem is narrower: you cannot attend the open homes, and without attending you cannot apply.

What we do sits squarely on that problem. We search, shortlist, attend inspections, speak to agents and report back so you can apply before you land. If you want the full picture of the service, the relocation agent page sets it out.

How much does one inspection cost?

$89 for a single property. That includes attending the open home, a same-day report, photos, a full video walkthrough, honest condition notes and the inspection code you need to apply.

One-off pricing suits people who have already found the place they want and just need someone through the door.

How much do the packages cost?

Two options, depending on how many properties you expect to chase:

  • $1,199 — up to eight inspections.
  • $2,199 — up to sixteen inspections.

Most people relocating underestimate how many properties they will apply for. Melbourne is competitive and applications are frequently unsuccessful for reasons that have nothing to do with you. If you expect to apply for more than a handful of places, the packages work out cheaper per inspection than booking them one at a time.

Are there any other fees?

No. No hidden fees, no commission, and no referral arrangements with agents or landlords. We are paid by you, which is the only way the report can be honest about a property.

Is it cheaper to fly down and do it myself?

Sometimes, if you only need one trip and your dates happen to line up with the open homes. In practice they rarely do. Melbourne inspections cluster on Saturday mornings and mid-week evenings, and they are announced a few days out. Flying in for a weekend usually means seeing two or three properties, not eight, and going home without an application in.

Work out the real comparison: flights, accommodation, time off work, and the risk of coming back empty-handed against the cost of having someone local attend every inspection you shortlist.

What is not included?

We are not building inspectors or pest inspectors, so this is not a structural or pest report and it is not a pre-purchase inspection. We do not sign leases on your behalf, and we do not handle removals or visas.

Which option should I choose?

If you have one property in mind, take the $89 one-off. If you are relocating and starting from a blank page, a package is almost always the better value, and you can call and talk it through before you commit — we will tell you honestly if you do not need one.
